Annexed Areas Keep County Storm Water Service

By Bill O'Neil

Bexar County has stepped up to help ease some of the added costs people living in four areas of the Southside will see--after they are annexed by the City of San Antonio.

"We've monitored this and we've watched it--and we've tried to help the citizens out there as they look at this limited annexation that the City is doing" said Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff--who told 550 KTSA News the coninued stoarm water service will make a real difference.

"That storm water fee (the City of San Antonio's) is three to four times higher than the Bexar County storm water fee" Wolff said.

The deal for the County to conintue to provide storm water service was reached after Wolff reached out to San Antonio City Manager Sheryl Sculley late last year.
