A San Antonio business leader travels to Washington to talk about efforts to expand exports and trade from the United States.
In fact, San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ramiro Cavazos was the only Texan to appear at Tuesday's White House meeting. He told 550 KTSA News the key to expanding america's global footprint in commerce is to think locally.
"People that already do business in the U.S. can do business outside of the U.S." Cavazos said, though adding one particular challenge must be addressed in order for that model to work.
"We must continue to work hard to improve our immigration chalelnges to make sure that the security on the border is not impeding trade for San Antonio businesses" Cavazos said.
