Cuellar Sees Small Progress

By Bill O'Neil

A San Antonio Congressman sees some small--but positive signs of progress as the undocumented children crisis continues to play out in Texas.

The progress seen by Congressman Henry Cuellar comes out of this week's meetings between the presidents of Mexico and Guatemala--discussing better cooperation in securing their shared border.

"We have to have a defense on their twenty yrad line--and not the one-yard line--the U.S. Mexico border--which we've been doing lately" Cuellar said. He told 550 KTSA News both countries need to also work with the United States on the effort.

Meanwhile, Cuellar said he's continuing to look for a solution to the crisis on this side of the border.

"I'm ready to sit down, and work in a bi-partisan way--Democrats, Republicans, the President, the Congress--and we have to move on this pretty quickly" Cuellar said.
