Dallas a GOP Convention Finalist

By Don Morgan

Dallas or Cleveland? That's the decision facing the Republican National Committee as it lines up a site for the Party's 2016 convention.

"Dallas has the money, and they can put up some money, and give it to the Republican National Committee to have the convention (there) said University of Texas-Arlington Political Scientist Alan Saxe. He told 550 KTSA News he believes Dallas will ultimately be selected, but if it were up to him--he would actually go with Cleveland.

"Only becuse Ohio is such a critical state in the Presidential election" Saxe said.

A Republican candidate for President has never gone on to win the White House--without winning the State of Ohio.
