The national spotlight is on a local mid-term congressional race--which Republicans say could serve as a referendum on the Obama Administration.
"In Texas, Will Hurd is a fromer CIA agent and successful businessman whose district has seen first hand the consequences of the President's failure to secure the American border" said Oregon GOP Congressman Greg Walden, delivering this weekend's Republican Address to the nation.
Hurd is challenging one-term Democratic incumbenmt Pete Gallego in the 23rd District, which stretches southwest from San Antonio and includes much of the border. Walden said the upcoming mid-term election will be about many things--ranging from jobs to the economy to Obamacare, and more.
"We have the chance to deliver the accountability that can not come soon enough" Walden said.
