Is there a weakness in San Antonio's military armor? One local Congressman is leading the charge to protect the City's Army bases from another potential round of cuts at the Pentagon.
"I do think that when people do think of San Antonio, they really do think of the Air Force" said Congressman Pete Gallego, who has written a letter to the Department fo Defense--signed by all of the other area Congressmen--making the case for the importance of San Antonio's Army facilities.
Gallego--who sits on the House Armed Services Committee--told 550 KTSA News Fort Sam Houston, with all of it's commands, and Camp Bullis, which is a vital training base--shouldn't be overlooked.
"These are really important facilities, and we need to highlight why they are so important, and underscore our support for the military" Gallego said.
