The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a helicopter crash Southeast of San Antonio in Karnes County.

A dispatcher in the Karnes County Sheriff's Department told 550 KTSA News that two people were in the chopper when it went down shortly before 3 pm Friday in a field in the town of Gillett. 

Both were flown to University Hospital  in San Antonio with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The helicopter was registered to a Karnes County man.
