A new study suggests Hispanic immigrants are more likely than any other American to be an entrepreneur these days.
In one way, those findings aren't all that surprising to Geekdom Director Lorenzo Gomez.
"When you're a migrant, or when you're from another country, you are kind of inherently an entrpreneur beccause you have to take great risk in moving your life and your family in to another country" Gomez said. He also told 550 KTSA News the University of Texas Pan American research shows many more "traditional" American families are doing their kids a disservice.
"Specifically in what we tell our children to do--I think that's one of the things that's really being highlighted right now. Most American parents don't tell their kids to be entrepreneurs--that's a problem" Gomez said.
He also believes the research should be a signal to Congress to make immigration reform a priority this year.
