It's not just teens and young drivers--a new study shows military members are also texting while driving.
According to the newly released USAA study, more than two out of every five military members admit to texting while driving--though in San Antonio, the number is a little bit better.
"In San Antonio, about 35% of the service members admitted to texting while driving on a regular basis--compared to 43% nationally" said USAA's Joel Camarano. He told 550 KTSA News whether or not a service member has been deployed also seems to make a difference.
"If youw ere ever deployed... you are significantly less likely to text and drive--at a rate of only 39%--compared to 53% for those who have not been deployed" Camarano said.
