Governor Rick Perry has weighed in on the continuing undocumented children crisis in Texas, testifying before a House Homeland Security Committee hearing in McAllen.
As he sees it, the Governor said there are actually two separates crises--one involving the thousands of childen streaming over the southern border in to Texas--the other a crisis of border security.
"We just need to have a discussion in the country... do we need to have a secure border that will stop illegal activity, or bring it to an astoundingly low level" the Governor said as he spoek to Congressional lawmakers Friday Afternoon. The Governor said it is President Barack Obama's own policies on immigration that have contributed to the problem.
"If the priority is to be able to expedite those young people back to the countries they came from--then that's what should occur" Perry said.
