Record Breaking Heat

The National Weather Service is predicting an unusually hot week with highs possibly reaching 103 degrees sometime this week.

"We definitely need to take it easy here throughout much of this week with that triple digit heat as it's really going to be with us the entire week or so, with real feel temperatures at 105 to 110 degrees in the peak of the afternoon hours," said Accuweather meteorologist Danielle Middle.

Accuweather is predicting highs this week through Thursday to hit around 103 to 104, which could tie or break heat records for this time of year.

"That heat is absolutely dangerous so definitely take it easy, stay hydrated, you know stay out of the heat if you can, and make sure you check on anybody that you know might be having some difficult time," said Middle.

Accuweather says we should start seeing a cooling trend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday making temperatures of 92 and 93 degrees feel cool.
