Parents who are looking to enroll their 3 or 4-year-old in Pre-kindergarten in the San Antonio Independent School District will have a chance to apply early Monday and Tuesday.

SAISD is hosting two Pre-K application events from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at all of their elementary and PK-8 academies.

"Parents need to bring proof of income such as their most current pay check stub, they're going to need a certified copy of the original birth certificate, a child's social security card, a photo ID of the parent or guardian registering the child, current immunization records of the child, and proof of residency within the district," said SAISD spokeswoman Leslie Price.

If you are wanting to register your child, there are also a number of eligibility requirements to keep in mind.

"Your child must be 3 or 4-years-old on or before September 1st. I will tell you that we are starting first priority with 4-year-olds, and then we'll look at applications for 3-year-olds once we've filled all eligible 4-year-olds," said Price.

SAISD's school year starts in less than a month on August 27th.
