A tense morning at a pair of San Antonio area schools following two different kinds of scares.
A lockdown has been lifted at Harris Middle School after six bullets were found in a hallway--and more were found as police searched the campus.
"The first six were scattered in the hallway like they fell out of something--then two more were found" said Aubrey Chancellor with the North East Independent School District. She told 550 KTSA News the lockdown was ordered out of an abundance of caution.
"There's no evidence that a weapon has been fored--or was on campus" Chancelor said.
At around the same time on the Southside, San Antonio Firefighters were called to Harlandale Middle School.
"Firefighters arrived onscene and found light smoke coming from a bthroom on the first floor--the entire school was evacautated a s a precuation" said Christian Bove with the San Antonio Fire Department. He tol 550 KTSA News the fire was caused by burning paper in the bathroom--which spread to a nearby stall--leaving a couple of thousand dollars in damage behind.
"Our arson investigators were called out to the scene to investigate--and together with district police officers they will be investigating how this fire started, and who started it" Bove said.
