If the flu is spreading across San Antonio--it's not making itself felt in local schools--at least not yet.
Officials with the Northside Independent School District said they did not notice a major drop in attendance on the first day back for the holidays.
"Our absentee rate is low--however, that could change as more students interact with each other at school" said The Northside ISD's Pascual Gonzalez. Officials with the San Antonio Independent School District told 550 KTSA News their attendance was 93% of what it was at the same time one year ago--but also said it's too early to tell if the flu might be the reason.
"For students who may already have the flu--we want them to stay home so they don't pass it on to other students" said the SAISD's Michelle Jimenez.
