A San Antonio lawmaker will join a Texas delegation headed to California to pitch a "hot" business prospect.
"I know I'm preaching to the choir, but we all know the State of Texas is a great place to work, a great place to live, a great place to play--it's business friendly. We'll invite this company, and we'll invite any company to come do business with us in Texas" said State Senator Carlos Uresti, who told 550 KTSA News he will be among those in Irwindale, California to meet with the makers of Sriracha Hot Sauce.
In fact, the Senator said the company is a perfect fit for South Texas.
"If California for whatever reason doesn't want them, we'll take them. Everyone loves chili in Texas, they're going to be more than welcome" Uresti said.
Some Irwindale residents have complained about the spicy aroma coming from the factory, which has led to the threat of some heavy local restrictions for the company.
