After weeks of rumor and speculation--State Senator Leticia Van de Putte may be ready to reveal her future political plans.
The Senator is due to address supporters in San Antonio Saturday--where she could announce plans for a campaign for Lieutenant Governor.
"She's waited sufficiently long--that were she not to make a run, she'd be seen as cutting the legs out from under the Texas Democratic Party's efforts to turn the state blue" said Rice University Political Scinece Department Chairman Mark Jones--who told 550 KTSA News he beleives Van de Putte will make a run.
Jones believes a Van de Putte candidacy would help make the Democratic Party more prominent in Texas.
"The Democrats don't have a Plan B if Leticia Van de Putte doesn't run for Lieutenant Governor" Jones said.
