A disturbing trend of pets roaming nieghborhoods appears to be on the rise across San Antonio.
Officials told 550 KTSA News more than a half dozen animals--all appearing to be people's pets--have been injured over the course of a week.
"That's veterinary technician time, that's Animal Care Services time that could be used to attend to other animals" said Lisa Norwood with Animal Care Services. She said the law is very clear--pet owners should be doing their part to keep animals and neighborhoods safe.
"Here in the City of San Antonio there are laws that mandate owners to keep their pets on their property" Norwood said, pointing out violations could quickly add up to hundredfs of dollars in fines.
