Woman Stabbed at Lackland Annex

by Elizabeth Ruiz

The wife of an Airman at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland remains in stable condition after a stabbing at her residence at the Lackland Training Annex.

The woman claims an intruder forced his way into her home around 8:20 a.m. Monday and stabbed her.

"She indicated that he came in through the back door and started arguing with her about why her dog was barking in the backyard," said Joint Base San Antonio spokesman Brent Boller.

She told police the man tried to strangle her with an IPhone cord and then grabbed a steak knife and stabbed her in the abdomen.

"Police arrived there first and cleared the house, finding no suspect.  The victim was crying on the kitchen floor with a knife sticking out of her abdomen," Boller told 550 KTSA News.

The victim says her attacker was wearing Air Force fatigues.

"She described the suspect as a white male, about 5-feet-10-inches tall, wearing a military camouflage uniform with Tech Sergeant stripes, but no name tapes," said Boller.
