A weather system far to our south is getting some attention form the National Weather Service.
Meteorologist Brett Williams tells us the storm is hovering around the Bay of Campeche and all models indicate it won’t amount to much..if anything.
Williams says there is only a 6 percent chance the system will develop into any significant tropical storm.
In fact, it has no sign of a northerly trajectory and it’s likely to dissipate by the end of the week.
Williams says they will still keep keep an eye on the system as many Texans are still on edge and recovering from the impact of Hurricane Harvey.
