Arrest in Convenience Store Murder

A man is behind bars on charges he killed a convenience store clerk.

24 year old Ralph Torres is being charged with capital murder following the death of the 61 year old clerk at the Quick Stop on Blanco.

Torres claimed he knew nothing about the shooting as he was being placed in a police car Wednesday afternoon.

The clerk’s wife works at the store too and she was shot and wounded. She’s been released from the hospital.

Torres is also charged with shooting another person while on a crime spree Monday night.
