Bexar Jail Meets Compliance Standards

The Bexar County Jail is in full compliance with state jail standards.

Sheriff Susan Pamerleau said she received the notification after a five day inspection of the county jail by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards.

She said the jail, annex, and holding cells at the County Courthouse have now been in compliance each year since 2010, therefore the jail has been in compliance each year she’s been the sheriff.

The county said, from 1993 to 2009, the jail was only in compliance with state twice.
