Vice President Joe Biden is in Texas Friday to talk about cancer research.
Biden, along with his wife Dr. Jill Biden will be at Rice University to deliver some comments about the White House Cancer Moonshot, an initiative Biden leads.
The idea is to make more therapies available to more patients. The initiative also aims to improve the ability to prevent cancer and detect it early.
Biden is no stranger to the struggles of cancer victims and their families. His son Beau Biden was 46 years old when died of brain cancer. The VP’s speech at Rice is Friday afternoon at 3.
