Brady: President Failing on Jobs

Congressman Kevin Brady claims one presidential promise is falling through.

Brady said the President promised a million new manufacturing jobs by the end of the year, “and now it looks like it was just all a pipe dream,” Brady said.

“The Washington Post reports the U.S. needs to add 74,000 manufacturing jobs every month to hit the goal which is something the President of Alliance for American Manufacturing calls virtually impossible,” he said.

Instead, Brady said, manufacturing jobs are going away.

“What can help though is for the Senate to pass a bill that I’m leading, and the House passed with over 400 bills last week, to stop punishing Americans manufacturers,” Brady said.

His bill is the American Manufacturing Competitiveness Act, which he said “can help our manufacturing businesses get back to work, help them hire, and help them compete around the world.”
