Calling Volunteers for the Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner

It’s an Alamo City tradition we all take pride in… giving everyone someplace to go to celebrate Thanksgiving.

“Thankfully here in San Antonio, we have the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner which is the nation’s largest Thanksgiving dinner at the biggest community table you’ve ever seen” said Mayor Ivy Taylor.

More than four-thousand volunteers will work together to make it all possible, a yearly event that has fed more than one-million people since it started nearly four decades ago.

“The registration is now open on the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner web site” Taylor said, adding that she will be there as well, helping to serve up the meal–with some help from her daughter.

“On her 13th birthday, she’ll be out serving San Antonians. We will be there, and I hope you will too” Taylor said.
