Be Careful on Wet Roads

Be careful. The advice from the experts as the heavy rain falls across San Antonio–leaving it’s mark on the roads.

“You really need to be aware of the road conditions, reduce your speed appropriately, and be prepared for challenging situations” said Doug Shupe with AAA Texas.

Shupe told KTSA News you should also allow yourself plenty of extra time to get to where you need to go.

“Better to be late than to get involved in a crash” Shupe said, adding you should also be sure you know what to do if and when you drive up on a flooded road.

“Do not cross it. A mere six-inches of fast-moving flood water can knock over an adult–as well as carry away some vehicles” Shupe said.
