City Leaders Urge You to Get Flu Shot

It’s one of the miracles of public health. That’s how Metrohealths Dr. Vincent Nathan describes the flu vaccine.

Cold and flu season is just getting started and since it takes a couple of weeks for the vaccine to reach it’s full effectiveness, Dr. Nathan suggests you get vaccinated now. He says this years vaccine will be much more potent than what was given out last year.

“This particular vaccine batch is called a Quad. It has 4 different variants of the influenza virus. So this is…covers almost any flu we may have this season.”

Dr. Nathan says the flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and your family form the flu.
