City to Test Wireless Emergency System Today

by Elizabeth Ruiz

The city of San Antonio plans to test its wireless emergency alert system.
Residents IN the 78216 zip code will receive a message similar to an AMBER alert on their mobile devices.

The test will start at noon and will last for about one hour, so if you’re in the 78216 zip code or traveling through the area during that time, you’ll get a message on your cell phone. That includes San Antonio International Airport, the Quarry Market and North Start Mall.

No action is required, because it’s only a test.
