Corbett Jr. High School On “Lock-Out”

There’s no imminent threat but a local Junior High School was placed on lock-out this afternoon.

Corbett Jr. High in Schertz was locked out as Bexar County Deputies searched the area after someone reported suspicious behavior in the neighborhood. Schertz PD and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office are looking for someone in the area of 1518 and Schaeffer Road.

A lock out means students and staff can move about the building but nobody is allowed to enter.

The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD Twitter page indicates that 7 police officers were on the campus and they’re working to co-ordinate dismissal of students.

There’s no word on who police are looking for or why. The school is located off 1518 in Schertz.
