Cornyn Calls for Unity in Cleveland

A call for unity at the Convention from the Senate’s Number Two Republican.

Senator John Cornyn said the time for debating the top of the GOP’s Presidential Ticket has passed.

“We are at the point now where we have a choice between two candidates–and we’ve gotten past the primary season where other choices might be possible” Cornyn told KTSA’s Jack Riccardi at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

The Senator said it’s time for Republicans to rally around Donald Trump.

“I think on every policy I an think of–from federal judges to regulations to the environment for small businesses and job creation… national security–a Trump Presidency would be better than a Clinton Presidency–which essentially would be a continuation of President Obama’s policies” Cornyn said.

Jack Riccardi will be broadcasting live from the GOP Convention this week.
