Cornyn Files Bill Requiring Mars Mission

To boldly go….

Senator John Cornyn and Texas Republican Congressman John Culberson have filed a bill that would require NASA to develop plans for the future of space exploration–which would include the goal of landing an astronaut on Mars.

The measure would also regularly require NASA to provide Congress a human exploration strategy outlining the goals–with updates every five years.

“By requiring a strategic plan from NASA, this bill will help focus existing resources towards achieving our long term goal of landing a human on Mars” Cornyn said, adding ” This bill reaffirms our nation’s long standing commitment to advancing science and exploring the expansive universe around us.”
