Cornyn Pushes Punishment

Senator John Cornyn wants to punish countries that refuse to take back illegal immigrants.

Cornyn is supporting the Remedies for Refusals or Repatriation Act along with Democrats Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy of Connecticut.

The State Department to refuse visas to citizens of countries that refuse to allow the return of illegal immigrants, especially those convicted of violent crimes.

The act is also known as Casey’s Law, named for a Connecticut woman who was killed by a Haitian man after he was released from jail by immigration officials.
