Council Votes on Taylor Ethics

San Antonio’s City Council has closed the door to any further action on ethics complaints involving her, her husband, and Section 8 vouchers.

Council’s vote Thursday does not prevent any more complaints from being brought on the matter–but the Ethics Review Board will be prevented from taking any action on those complaints if they are brought forward.

“She’s the one who brought this too our attention to make sure this gets resolved” said Councilman Mike Gallagher.

Others however were very concerned over the move.

“We are concluding on those that we are waiving any issue” Councilman Rey Saldana pointedly asked the City Attorney, who responded “Correct.”

Saldana and Councilman Ron Nirenberg voted against the measure.
