Couple Charged in Seguin Murder

The search for the killers of a man whose body was found under a bridge in Seguin in early May has come to an end in Brown County–southeast of Abilene.

That’s where police caught up with Andrea Middleton and Gabriel Perez after getting an important lead in the case.

“The female suspect placed herself and the male suspect at the location during the time we believe the murder occurred” said Seguin PD’s Officer Carlos Conteras.

From there, the pair were brought back to Seguin for more questioning.

“Upon further interview, the male suspect admitted to murdering the victim” Conteras said.

At this point, investigators are still working on the exact details surrounding the murder of Guamaro Castaneda-Escatel.

“The suspect admitted there was an argument that began… and there was a physical assault that ensued after that” Conteras said.
