Crash Shuts I-10 on Eastside

A fiery crash shuts down a section of IH 10 in the city’s East Side.

San Antonio police say an eighteen-wheeler slammed into a barrier and burst into flames on the Westbound IH 10 offramp at Foster Road around 10:20 this morning.

Traffic is being diverted on WB IH 10 at FM 1516.

Officer Douglas Greene tells KTSA News the driver managed to escape the flames of his burning truck.

It’ll take a while to clear the wreckage and reopen that section of the expressway.
