Critically Injured Firefighter Showing Improvement

By Bill O’Neil

We’re told a San Antonio Firefighter continues to recover from the serious injuries he received while battling the deadly Ingram Square fire last month.

Brad Phipps remains in the Burn Intensive Care Unit at San Antonio Military Medical Center and doctors say he still has a long road ahead. While Phipps continues to undergo surgeries to treat his burns, he has been removed from a ventilator and has been undergoing some physical therapy.

The investigation in to the fire, which claimed the life of Scott Deem and injured a third San Antonio Firefighter continues.
