Deadline Day Thursday for Runoff Registration

By Bill O’Neil

It’s deadline day if you want to vote in San Antonio’s runoff elections June 10th–but are not registered.

“As with every election, we need to have a voter registration card… or update your address… thirty days prior to any election” Bexar County Elections Administrator Jacque Callanen told KTSA News.

“As long as it’s postmarked by May 11th. You can bring them in to our office. We do need an original signature to register anyone to vote” Callanen said, adding “If you did not vote in the first election for the City, you’re eligible for the runoff (as long as you are registered).”

Callanen also sees a strong possibility things will be busier at the polls for the runoff.

“The crystal ball is still just a little bit cloudy, but I’m expecting it to be heavier than the regular election” Callanen said.
