Detention Deputy Arrested

A Bexar County Detention Deputy arrested because of an incident Saturday night.

“We were called out to a home for a fight between a deputy and her husband,” BCSO’s James Keith told KTSA News. “When our deputies arrived to the scene, they determined that there was enough that had taken place to charge our deputy with assault.”

Wendy Yarbrough was arrested. She later posted bond and was released.

“We are naturally saddened to see that this fight occurred and that this is the way it ended,” Keith said. “We want the public to know that we do hold our people accountable and, whenever they commit crimes, they will be held accountable just like everybody else.”

Yarbrough has been on medical leave. Her husband was not charge and was not seriously hurt.
