Drug Deal Leads to Hit and Run, Capital Murder Arrest

A drug deal leads to a deadly hit-and-run and an arrest on a capital murder charge.

Police said the suspect went to buy some drugs around 12:30 this morning on Peabody Avenue, but ended up robbing the man. He drove off with the man hanging on to the car.

“The suspect then sideswiped another vehicle, causing the victim to fall off the vehicle and sustain some serious injuries,” said Officer Douglas Greene.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Greene told KTSA News officers later recovered the suspect’s vehicle and arrested the driver on a charge of capital murder.
