Early Morning Chase Ends With Deadly Crash in Medina County

A chase that started in Bexar County comes to a deadly end Friday M0rning in Medina County.

It all began with a Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy trying to pull over a pickup truck on Potranco–near Talley Road.

“The driver sped off” James Keith with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office told KTSA News, adding “He then led the Deputy on a pursuit that ended up in Medina County–in Castroville.”

That’s where the chase came to a quick and violent end.

“When the driver of this pickup truck got to FM 471 and Highway 90–that general area–he lost control. He crashed his truck in to a tree” Keith said.

The impact of the crash was so strong, it split the truck in half, killing a passenger. The driver was rushed to a hospital, and will likely face charges.
