Escaped Bexar County Inmates Captured At Sonic

Three inmates managed to escape from the Bexar County Jail this morning.

Sheriff Javier Salazar says all three men are accused of capital murder.

They managed to escape by cutting a hole through some mesh that was about 20 feet off the ground and made their way down the fence using some bed sheets.

Once outside, the men ran to a white car driven by a female accomplice.

They didn’t get far.

The Sheriff says 40 minutes later, the inmates and the woman were taken into custody about 4 miles away at a Sonic restaurant near Blanco and Hilderbrandt.

He says even though the inmates were caught shortly after the escape, it’s something that never should have happened.

“We’ll start working backwards to find out how it was they formulated this plan and got the materials together that were needed to affect this escape”

Jacob Anthony Brownson, Luis Antonio Arroyo and Eric Trevino were reported missing from the jail at 10:40 this morning.
