Four Teens Found in Stolen Car

A hard lesson on the consequences of making a bad decision for several teens–found in a stolen car on the Eastside by a police officer early Friday Morning.

“The three passengers were released to their parents, and the suspect (driver) was booked in to juvenile hall for theft of a vehicle” said SAPD Officer Douglas Greene.

It’s the latest in a recent series of bad choices teens have made around town. Greene said it’s important kids are making the right decisions–especially as summer approaches, and they’ll have more time on their hands with school out.

“They don’t want to spend their summer in jail” Greene said, adding “These are things that go on their record–and this will hinder their future… especially if they’ll be applying to colleges.”

Greene also said it’s up to parents to play an active role in steering their kids toward making smart choices.

“There is plenty of opportunity… there are no excuses to get your young ones involved in something positive here in San Antonio over the summer–and, not anything negative like this” Greene said.
