Group Protects Landowners From Border Wall

Some residents could pose a barrier to building a border wall.

A group of lawyers with the Texas Civil Rights Project will work to protect property owners along the border in the eminent domain process.
The focus will be on poorer residents who don’t have the means to hire their own lawyers.

Property owners who don’t like the compensation they’re offered by the federal government have the right to bring their case before a jury.
