Heat Advisory in Effect Wed Afternoon

The heat is on–and it’s clearly summer in the city.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Wednesday Afternoon–with temperatures expected to climb close tot he 100-degree mark.

“With the humidity, the heat indices will go as high as 112–so, we’re in the danger zone there” National Weather Service Forecaster Cory Van Pelt told KTSA News.

The advice for dealing with the heat is pretty simple.

“Try to limit your time outdoors as far as doing any work” Van Pelt said, adding “The best thing to do is to stay in air conditioning if you can, stay out of the sun.”

And, if you’re looking for any relief from Mother Nature, that might take a little while.

“We don’t expect conditions to change much… you can probably expect a similar situation for the next few days” Van Pelt said.
