Here’s What You Need To Know About “Wrappin’ With Jack”

It’s the time of year I humbly ask for your help.

We’re partnered with Family Service Association of SA to help each of the hundreds of families they serve have a Merry Christmas. Our 18th annual “Wrappin’ With Jack” is presented by Quarter Moon.

“Wrappin’ With Jack” (WWJ) is our annual gift wrapping event—this year, December 6th from 7 to 9 at the new Magnolia Halle, 10319 Huebner Road, next to Magnolia Pancake Haus. Everyone’s invited, families, kids, couples, to come out and wrap presents, listen to Ken Slavin sing holiday hits and have a great time.

No invitation needed! But I’m always happy to hear that you’re coming to the party, especially if you’re part of a school, church or work group. Let me know, jack@ktsa.com, or post on the Wrappin’ With Jack Facebook page.

But…how do we get the gift items that we will be wrapping? I need help there, too. These families need the basics: blankets, kitchen gear, clothing, kids games and toys. Our commitment: every member of every family has an age-appropriate, wrapped gift, with their name on the tag.

These are our fellow San Antonians, often prepared to have nothing for Christmas. Instead, they have something to unwrap, just for them, and they count. I think you’ll agree this is a powerful thing that you and I can make happen.

Imagine it: there’s a little girl in our town who takes pencil in hand, writes to Santa, and tells him she hopes he can find her, now that her family lost their apartment. Tearfully, she hopes.

At KTSA.com, you can donate money, pure and simple. Or, you can shop for one item, one family, or more.

Here’s where the magic can happen: Will you consider teaming up with coworkers, your employees, your neighbors or even a group or club you’re in? You and your team can take on any number of families, based on what you want to spend. You shop, and drop off at one of our sponsors. Or bring your gifts to wrap on December 6.

Come to WWJ and wrap presents (we have the paper, tape, etc.etc.). Donate money. Shop and drop-off gifts. You can help in any or all of these ways.

And I have a guarantee: On December 6, you will feel the true meaning of Christmas in your heart.

I promise. And I thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
