Home Sales Climb In 2017

The San Antonio real estate market continues to set records.

More than 30,700 single family homes were sold in 2017 according to the San Antonio Board of Realtors.

That’s a 4 percent increase of 2016 and also, the highest number of home sales to date.

Most of the sales were homes priced between 200,000 and 500,000 dollars while the percentage of homes selling for more than half a million were in the single digits.

SABOR reports that the Alamo City is still one of the most affordable large cities in the state and the strong area economy helps keep the housing market stable.

Statewide home sales also jumped in 2017. Up nearly 4 % over 2016.
