Hurd Wants Tougher Iran Sanctions

Congress is trying to hold Iran more accountable by strengthening sanctions.

“If we do not enforce consequences, Iran will continue violating Security Council resolutions,” Congressman Will Hurd said. “Not only are we allowing a greedy state to inch closer to nuclear capability, but we’re encouraging other countries like Russia to stretch the limits of their actions around the globe.”

A new bill requires the administration to guarantee that no person or back in backing the Iranian Nuclear Program before lifting any sanctions.

“Allowing Iran to flought obvious breaches to Obama’s Nuclear Agreement without consequences threatens both our safety and credibility in the region,” he said.

Hurd said we must hold our enemies accountable to restore America’s leadership on the world stage.
