Improvements at Woodlawn Lake Park

A ribbon-cutting and a ground breaking–all at the same time at Woodlawn Lake Park.

It happened Monday Afternoon, where the end of a first phase of improvements was celebrated–along with the start of a second phase of work.

“Folks have just given us a lot of tremendous remarks about how great the Lake looks, how safe they feel with the lighting” said San Antonio City Councilman Cris Medina, pointing to the new lighting, running trail, drinking fountains, tables, benches, and more.

“That’s exactly what this is all about–making sure the quality of life for our community continues to improve” Medina said.

As for that ground breaking, it starts a new phase of work focused on the road–as well as flood control efforts in and around the Park.

“This is a wonderful area in our community–we’re all very proud of it” said Bexar County Commissioner Paul Elizondo.
