Investigation in to Shootings Continues

They’ve made some progress–but San Antonio Polcie still need your help in finding everyone responsible for a pair of horrific shootings involving young children last week.

“San Antonio has really stepped up as far as providing us information” SAPD’s Officer Douglas Greene told KTSA News, adding “We ask they continue to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP with that info. Again, there’s up to a $5000 reward being offered in these cases.”

Greene said police continue to search for everyone involved in the shooting near Cuellar Park which killed 7-year old Iris Rodriguez. That investigation has already led to the arrest of Frank Gomez Friday Night.

Meanwhile, a 5-year old girl remains on life support after she was shot in the midst of an altercation taking place outside of a home on Pecan Valley Drive. In that case, police continue to search for Abdi Abdi, who is described as a person of interest.

In the end, Greene–like so many others–is hoping these tragedies will serve as a turning point for those who are up to no good.

“They need to put the guns down. They need to stop this illegal activity–and do the right thing and change their lives around” Greene said.
