Investigators Probe Apartment Fire

by Elizabeth Ruiz

A fire at a North Side apartment complex forced some residents out of their warm beds and into the cold temperatures early this morning.

Arson investigators are trying to determine what sparked the blaze just before 4 this morning at the complex on Parliament near Blanco Road. On the scanners, firefighters were heard talking about being careful “not to disturb any evidence,” so it doesn’t appear to be an accidental fire.

At least one person was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation.

Some of the residents were being allowed back into their apartments around 4:45 this morning.
