Has Johnny Manziel Gone from Sports Star to a Party Trainwreck?

The most promising quarterback out of Texas A&M has gone from one damaging headline to another. Johnny Manzeil’s excessive partying and bad behavior have drawn the ire from the heads of the Cleveland Browns. He recently was the passenger in a hit-and-run auto accident, which caused his agent to drop him unless he seeks help. Sports agent Drew Rosenhaus has a reputation for taking on tough athletes, and if he drops any athlete, that’s really saying something.

“He’s not a football star anymore. He’s a reality star,” says Ari Temkin of 1250 ESPN San Antonio. “How many times do you need to have this ‘come to Jesus’ moment before you look at this kid, and he’s not having that?”

He is no longer just a sports story. Are we watching the downfall of a human being?
